20%P95 latency across critical paths vs your configured threshold. Consistent speed above the threshold subtracts from score; consistent speed below it contributes.
SSL health

SSL health
15%Certificate validity, expiry runway, and chain completeness. An expiring certificate starts reducing the score 14 days before expiry.
Checkout reliability

Checkout reliability
20%Success rate of checkout and payment-path assertions over the last 30 days. A failed checkout assertion is weighted 2x compared to a content page failure.
Incident trend

Incident trend
10%Trend in incident frequency and mean time to recovery (MTTR) over the last 90 days. Improving MTTR and falling incident counts raise the score over time.

What each range means
No open incidents. All paths fast and green. SSL healthy.
Minor latency or one low-severity incident. No checkout failures.
One or more paths failing, high latency, or SSL expiry within 14 days.

01 / How it works
Care monitors all configured paths
Every minute, Care checks each monitored path against its assertion. The pass/fail result for each check is recorded with a timestamp and the full response.

Scores are computed every 5 minutes
Care recalculates the Business Health Score every 5 minutes using a weighted average of the five components: uptime, response time, SSL, checkout reliability, and incident trend.
03 / How it works
The score updates live in your dashboard
The score is displayed prominently on the Portfolio page for each site, color-coded by band. Hovering on it shows the breakdown per component and how each one is contributing to the total.

The trust badge reflects the live score
The public trust badge (badge.svg) updates to reflect the current score band. Scores above 95 show a full green badge. Degraded scores show an amber indicator — visible to your customers.
Improving your score
Common ways to raise a low score
Uptime component is low
Check Portfolio > Incidents for the paths that are failing most frequently and resolve the underlying issue. Enable auto-repair playbooks for recurring failures.
Response time component is dragging
Review your slowest paths in Portfolio > your site > Performance. Common fixes: enable a page cache, upgrade hosting resources, or compress images.
SSL component below 100
Go to Settings > SSL. If the certificate expires within 14 days, enable the SSL renewal playbook or renew manually through your hosting provider.
Checkout reliability is degraded
Check the latest checkout assertion result in Portfolio > your site > Paths. A change in response body (plugin update, theme change) often causes a false failure — update your assertion to match the new expected response.
